MacOS Mojave comes with Apache/2.4.34. To start Apache web server run the following command. $ sudo apachectl start This command will start Apache server. When you use sudo in the terminal then you will be prompted to enter your admin password to proceed. If you want to stop the Apache server then run the following command. $ sudo apachectl stop. The Apache Tomcat software is developed in an open and participatory environment and released under the Apache License version 2. The Apache Tomcat project is intended to be a collaboration of the best-of-breed developers from around the world. We invite you to participate in this open development project.
